No Tracking Number for returned phone. AT&T says it hasn't been received and Customer Service is useless.

We purchased a iPhone 11 in November but decided to go with the iPhone 12 mini instead.  We spoke to a customer service rep who said to use to use the return label and said we could use USPS to ship.  We had our mailman scan the box but we were told we didn't need a tracking number.  Now it's 3 weeks later and no way to track the return or help from customer service.  The phone was not used or activated.  Can Anyone help us?  From look of other forum questions this appears to be an ongoing problem with At&t.  We are a low-income family and cannot afford to be charged for a phone that was lost.  I had purchased it to use for work now I'm out a phone completely.

Sorry I know this is an old post, but I’m in the same boat, the store manager told me to just leave it with the USPS and that I didn’t need a Tracking Number or Receipt. Did you end up working this out? How was it handled? Thank you for any info you can give out.

It's unlikely somebody from 4 years ago is going to respond.

You should have taken a picture of the label, or got in a receipt at the post office. You absolutely should save the tracking number

Well I just did exactly what the store manager told me to do, which I thought was a safe call considering she’s a manager for the company.
