Oneplus 6 vs mi mix 2

Compsnot sureif the pic will upload.

I am looking to purchase a new phone.  Oneplus just came out with a new device and I k ow it works well with att.  I am wondering about the "mi mix 2" its supports less bands, but looks to support most of the att bands.  I just wanted some other person to confirm this with me before I make the purchase

Thanks

Ps: reply has web link to devices.

Its a great phone I love it but it will likely be going back. Why? No Volte/HdVoice support for AT&T. it is suppose to support it but works flawlessly on T-mobile out of the box but there is not even an option to enable it on AT&T. Don't know why. I have had other unlocked phones that worked just fine but OP is lacking here. I Accessed phone settings through the dialer and there is a VOLTE provisioned toggle, but the toggle automatically turns of after you turn it on. I am still trying to troubleshoot but if I have already requested return so Its requested within 15 days of purchase just in case i need to sent it back. The difference between HDvoice/no hd voice is big for me and only thing required to enable that is VoLTE. I hate to send it back but I will if I have to.

Tons of information on the forum on this.  If it’s not an AT&T branded android, or one of the very few odd exceptions, you do not get HD voice.   HTC 11 and google Pixel 2 are the exceptions, but no Wifi calling.

Unlocked versions of phones ATT carriers do not get HD voice either.

Apparently there is a way to enable it by rooting it I read and editing build prop. So pretty much OP is choosing to make it hard to enable it. Which is a shame. So an update can simply fix it. But I am not going to go out of my way to root it to enable it. So phone will be going back since its their choice to not enable it by default on AT&T.

Nope.  Nothing wrong with the phone.  ATT has to add their programming to the phone to allow HD voice and Wifi calling.  HTC 11 was supposed to come to ATT, last minute it didn’t.  Programming was added in advance.  Google sent through the update for HD voice through all carriers.  The one plus is excluded by IMEI.   No amount of rooting can add programming from ATT

I may be biased as I have a 5t.  I love the phone.  It’s big, without feeling big, which was my complaint about the nexus 6p.

Spec comparison, the one plus wins.    The splash resistance and qi charging are an awesome improvement

Oh thank you indeed.  I watched the launch today of the OP6.  I've never been so excited.

I just know xiaomi makes good stuff too, just making sure. And most importantly, making sure both work on att.

Thanks again.

I switched SIM cards from a previous ATT phone and get LTE and LTE+.

Im a phone junkie.  I have several, and the 5t is the best I’ve had.  Big screen, but not to big or heavy.

FAST.

The down side, no cases.  So buy the better bumper case from oneplus.  The 5t came with a minimal case.  I paid from their screen protector, which is excellent.  Eventually amazon and eBay sold cases for the 5t that suited my girly sensibilities.

Google it. Someone has it working. How does essential phone, mate 10 pro
work? If at&t has to do anything then I think one plus should involve
itself in the process too. Does at&t suppose to go out and grab every phone
and program it? If essential phone, a company that is going out of business
can do it I am sure one plus can get it done as well. I am not sure what's
stopping them. To me may be they just don't want to spend the resources to
do it.
