PHONE FRAUD!!!!
Has anyone had an issue with upgrading a phone, turning in said phone and then getting a dismantled phone back saying thats what you sent in? I've even gone to the post office and been told that this is happening to att customers , no other company has had customers come in to say that they've had their phone dismantled and returned.

So it's happening through your post office? That's rather too coincidental isn't it? And unlikely
When you send in a phone for trade-in, AT&T never sees it. They aren't mail to at&t.
It goes from the post office, picked up by newgistics courier, delivered to Assurant Mobile in Laverne Tennessee.
Since Assurant takes trade-ins from all manufacturers and service providers in the United States, if only AT&T customers are being victimized, it doesn't sound too likely it's Assurant.
If this wasn't a trade-in, but an early upgrade with return, those phones do go back to AT&T. But the method is the same. From the post office, courier, and eventually back to AT&T Warehouse. We are there are cameras and a lot of people.
