Phone freezing since latest update 2024

My phone did a mandatory update 2 days ago. Since then, it periodically freezes for about 30-60 seconds at a time.  I'm not sure what to do about this.

What phone?  How old?  It’s likely that you’ll have to contact the manufacturer since they are responsible for software updates.

It's a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, about 2 years old

If your Samsung phone is freezing after a recent update, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Hold down the power button for about 30 seconds to restart the phone.
  • Update the apps and the software of your Samsung Galaxy.
  • Check for bad third party app.
  • Clear app cache and data.
  • Fix freezing on Samsung Galaxy with factory reset.
