Repaired phone trade in

My iPhones back glass is cracked. The place I wanted to go will repair it but it won’t have the apple logo on it. Wondering if when I turn it in for an upgrade if I will get the full trade in value for it?

Hey there @ArynR, we'll be happy to help clear up what'll happen to your trade-in value.

A device's trade-in value is typically determined by following three factors:

  • If the device can power off and on.
  • If the Activation Lock is turned off or not.
  • If the device has any physical damage, such as chips, cracks or dead pixels.

While the actual trade-in value is determined once the phone is sent in and evulated, the estimated trade-in value of a device is halved if the device is damaged.

You can check this for yourself on our trade-in page by selecting your device's make and model, and select No to the question asking if the phone is free from damage.

Please let us know if you have any other questions about your iPhone's trade-in value.
