Shipping boxes

I ordered 2 new phones and was told the trade in boxes would be coming soon after. I’ve called 4 times about the shipping materials and have gotten the run around every time. Please help. I have reference numbers for both phones that need to be shipped back.

You can request the trade-in shipping materials here: https://tradein.att.com/

You will receive very thin bubble packaging “envelopes” to send your devices back in. They are not sturdy and your phone may be damaged in transit.

After going through this process myself and reading these forums, my advice to you is to trade-in the phone at an AT&T retail store. Take lots of pictures of the phone and have the AT&T employee and their manager verify that the phone is in good condition and that any factory reset described in the trade-in instructions has been completed. GET IT IN WRITING with their names and signatures.

This gives you the best chance of avoiding surprises when it comes to the bill credits you are expecting to see.

The burden of proof is on you when it comes to verifying the condition your equipment is in when you give it to AT&T.

You want to do this the right way or you will buy yourself hours of headache trying to get your bill credits applied.

You should request a custom cardboard box from the company for sending back the phones. Give them the reference numbers for both phones and explain that you've called four times but haven't received the shipping materials. Ask for clear instructions on when you can expect the custom cardboard box to arrive.
