If this is an AT&T branded device it has to be inside the United States and using an AT&T SIM card and service in order to get OTA updates. You should be connected to Wi-Fi during the download process. Yes?

Hello @JHONSON,

We understand how frustrating it can be to encounter software update issues on your Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Let’s troubleshoot this together! Here are some steps you can try:

  1. Wipe Cache Partition:

    • Turn off your device.
    • Press and hold the Volume Up key, then press and hold the Side key.
    • When the green Android logo displays, release all keys.
    • Highlight “wipe cache partition” using the Volume down key and select it with the Side key.
    • Confirm by selecting “yes.”
    • Once complete, choose “Reboot system now.” This often resolves update-related glitches.
  2. Update via Smart Switch:

    • Download and install Samsung Smart Switch on your computer from here.
    • Connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable.
    • Open Smart Switch and check for available updates.
    • If an update is found, proceed with the installation. If these steps don’t work, consider the following:
  3. Manually Flash Firmware:

    • Obtain the firmware for your device (e.g., from Frija Tool or http://sm.att.com/c44e4399).
    • Use Odin to flash the firmware. Instructions can be found in this guide: How to Flash Firmware via Odin. This method can help if other solutions fail.
  4. Contact Your Carrier or Service Center:

    • If none of the above works, visit your carrier or a Samsung service center.
    • They can assist with re-flashing the software or diagnosing any hardware issues.

Let us know if this helps.

Thank you,
Jessica, AT&T Community Specialist.
