Taxing tax exempt status
I went into a store today and they said they had to charge state taxes even though I am tax exempt. Have card and everything. Person in store said they just started doing it. Does AT&T have a contract with the state of Oklahoma saying they will collect state taxes even if tax exempt?

We understand you are tax exempt but is that just from state taxes or both state and federal taxes?
For Federal tax exemption you would contact the IRS
To apply your state tax exemption to you would use the AT&T Tax Exemption web tool.

I’m having the same problem. The web tool is disabled. I want to get my $700+ (yes, all taxes) back. It’s all STATE taxes. We are State tax exempt. I also have the card with our tax exempt number. 100% disabled vet. Perhaps some media might get their attention?
