Trade in bait and switch
I upgraded my Families phones to the S24. The deal was $0 with qualified trade in. The trade ins all were accepted and qualified but we are paying $5/month per phone, not 0. WHYYYYY???????? Was this a bait and switch but did I miss the fine print somewhere?

Did you increase storage capacity of the phones from the base model?

Base model is 128 GB memory, the $5 up model has 256 GB… which do you have?

The trade-in offers usually have a cap. $800 over 36 months or $1,000 off over 36 months. Some of the phones cost more than that limit which means you pay the extra. My son and I are each paying $5.xx net. We purchased $1,000 phones and the offer was $800. The difference of the $27.78 installment versus the $22.23 credit every month

Based on these responses, I was a victim of AT&T bait and switch .... again! I have 256 memory on all 4 phones, that was the only option available!!
I ordered online and it said $0 with trade in for this phone. No option but the 256!

If you ordered an s24+ , that's the larger phone. It does not come in a 128 GB model, not from anywhere.
The " free" offer is usually off the base model.
When you ordered your phones it would have told you the total cost of your phones and it would have told you the total amount of bill credits based on your trade-in phones.
It was up to you to proceed or not based on the math
Login to your account and read your installment information.
It would show you what phones you purchased and how much their retail cost was.

Exactly what I am saying. Everything I read when purchasing indicated $0. The credit was up to $1000, the phones were $1000. Everything. The math was 0. So tricky of AT&T that information is never in your order confirmation.

If you ordered online, the order process shows you absolutely all the expenses... The applied trade-in, everything. It's even showing me taxes based on a ZIP code, although it's not my zip code
There must be some new FCC transparency law regarding taxes and admin fees coming down the pike because this is the most comprehensive checkout I've ever seen running through the AT&T website.
