Trade in scam

I mailed my trade in about 2 weeks ago in perfect condition, and in the phone case. I just got an email stating that the screen is not working or has ‘burn in’ which is completely untrue. I mailed my trade in device in perfect condition. How can I make sure I don’t get scammed? Or can I just get my trade in back? I don’t want to pay for the current phone without my offered promotion, and there’s nothing wrong with the old phone!! This is ridiculous!!

No, you can’t get the trade in back. To dispute the condition of the phone, file an FCC or BBB complaint and someone from corporate will contact you. Hopefully you have proof of the condition.

A far wrose trade in scam is going on. Returned 3 pristine iphone 12 pro around the same time as you. One was converted to an lg flip phone and the other to an iphone 6. Clearly fraud is going one either at the post office or at their exchange center. Lesson learned. Do no do trade in where you have to mail in your phone.
