Misleading ship dates showning on online att iPhone store

I ordered an iPhone 8 256 GB from an ATT store on Dec 21.  Store employee stated that the phone would definitly arrive by Dec 23.  On Dec 26 I received an email order status shipping update of Jan 24.  The ATT online phone store currently shows this exact iPhone 8 available for shipment by Jan 2-4.

Received misleading information and now I'm stuck with a year long contract
