ATT military discount deceptive
Has anyone else had a problem getting their military discount on your ATT wireless? Every single month, sometimes 2-3 times a month, for the past NINE months, I have called to get the military discount. I've submitted proper documentation for NINE months, in multiple ways. I've spoken to multiple people. I still do not have the military discount on the account. I even mailed a letter to "pre-arbitration", which said to wait 30 days for a response. It's been 60 days. There is literally no one at ATT that can help. Not even a supervisor. I'm about to report it to BBB, possibly also to a news station, maybe even all social media, and then file a formal complaint. I have literally never experienced anything like this in my life. Just curious if anyone has had the same issue.

Yes, in month two of the fiasco. I’ve also faxed them in at the request of an ATT supervisor. Also, I’ve uploaded the docs approx. 8 times on their military discount request submission page. I’ve spent about 15 hours on the phone with them over the past few months. Absolutely maddening. I can’t even wrap my head around the absurdity of it all.

Have you tried submitting your documentation at an ATT corporate store? That’s what I did, got the military discount added on the next bill. No problem.

Same issue and I even received a text stating it was approved and now it’s as if my discount and verification have disappeared into thin (Edited per community guidelines) air.

Take a look at a previous bill that had the military discount and file a BBB or FTC complaint with the FAN code on your bill. This will get someone from the Office of the President to contact you.

Yes... My wife served before we were married. ATT is so loaded with red tape and out of country call centers that they do not understand that a women can serve and have a name change. Uploaded my wife's information at least 15 times via online, uploaded 3 times in a retail and corporate store with a manager, spoke to countless call center managers, received text and 30 day and 60 day wait periods. Even went as far as to change the name on the account to her made name. Sent birth certificate, marriage certificate, dd214, photo id. Spoke and text with multiple people. Common sense has gone out the window. Unbelievable!

Is the account in your wife's name? If not, that's the issue. The account has to be owned by a veteran to qualify.
If it is in her name, use a BBB complaint to get escalated to someone who can get the issue sorted out.
