Collections notice from Credence
Back in 2020, we closed our AT&T Uverse account. We had made payment in full for services, then decided to terminate service. After many phone calls to confirm that nothing was owed, we received a billing statement. Upon more phone calls, we then received a statement and confirmation that again a zero balance was owed. Yet, within a month, the amount appeared $166 on my credit report from Credence. Clearly a disreputable company dealing with yours. The unrelenting phone calls from them is out of hand, for a debt NOT owed. Please submit to them that this is an unwarranted collectection. Records will show via billing and recorded calls that it has been rectified and must be removed from my credit report. I ask for your help in this matter, due to it was placed by AT&T without reviewing.
Thank you.

THIS IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
IF THE DEBT HAS BEEN SOLD, YOU NEED TO DEAL WITH THE COLLECTION AGENCY.

There’s no such thing as a reputable collection agency. They are all snakes and border breaking the law and harassment while trying to collect. Unfortunately that’s how it is. Google search them there are ways to legally get them to stop harassing you.
