Does the "Military Support Team" actually exist?
Is anyone else having these problems?
Website provides the following error when I attempt to submit my deployment cancelation and hold request:
"Uh-oh. Your request didn't go through. Wait a few minutes and try submitting again."
This error message has consistently appeared over the last couple months from different browsers, computers, and servers.
[email scrubbed] is a false customer service email address that auto-generates the following response:
"'-Case ID 84965893-'Thank you for your request. (Please do not respond AT&T Auto Generated Response)"
"Thank you for contacting the AT&T Military Support Team. Military service holds and service restoration has never been faster! Visit the website at www.att.com/offers/military-cancel-service to submit your request. If you have other military needs outside of what the website can resolve, please contact customer care at 1.800.331.0500 or 611 from your handset."
AT&T customer service representatives are well-intentioned but unauthorized to handle military deployment cancelation requests. In my latest of five conversations, the representatives advised me to contact the Military Support Team via fax and mail.
The Military Support Team fax number 847-513-5954 is off-line and would not accept my fax (21 September).
Today, I sent a certified letter with orders and cancellation request to the following address. Fingers crossed.
8089 South Avenue
Boardman, OH 44512
Thank you, AT&T, for making this extremely simple problem a black hole of my time and that of your poor customer service reps trying to wrestle their way through your poorly designed system.

I'm not sure why you're having a problem, but all the information is here at the bottom of this link. Email, fax, and physical address

I've sent a test email, unless I get a mail or demon back saying that the email failed, the email works.
The fax number is a US number so it would need to be a plus one to connect with a US fax number.
It responds as a Fax if you call it (also tested)

And I already got an automated response email, with a case number assigned. So I don't know what you're doing different from what other people are doing that successfully submit their orders by email or fax, but two or three people over the past couple of years having a problem indicates the problem might be with something they are doing not with AT&T's system and contact methods
Response email...

Formerlyknownas, thank you for checking that email address and fax number.
I received that same automated email on 5 August and 9 August when I sent my cancelation request. A human has never responded to me. I asked customer service to look up the case numbers auto-generated in the email, and they said they didn't exist in the system they were using.
I redialed the fax number today and no longer receive the offline tone, but it did not answer my three new fax attempts. I tried adding a 1 to the fax number as well.

They do exist! After about 7 website attempts, 4 phone calls, 2 emails, 4 fax attempts, and 1 letter, I finally got a hold of this office. I recommend going straight to certified mail if you have any trouble with the website. Expect a 4ish-day response time after they receive your letter. Cheers.
