Husband is a USAF Vietnam Vet and then also decided to servce in later life as a USN Vet and Reserve Member on a ship

I am the wife of a USAF Vietnam Vet, and then later in life my SAME husband decided to serve in USN and then USN Reserve.  My same lasst name happens to be the name listed as primary on the account from over 15 years ago before ANY discounts.  I sent the DD214 of my husbands' and AT&T will not accept it as it does not have HIS name to match the long-standing years account, even though he has a cellphone on the bill for over 15 years, ending in ..........8. (check it AT&T)

AT&T also doesn't know/recognize that even though your husband is the Vet, the family serves also.

I am offended by AT&T's response, that our account is not considered for the Military FAMILY Discount.  It even states FAMILY in the Discount.

What should I do?  My congressman is a Marine Vietnam Vet - maybe I should let him know how our family has been treated by a big Corporation, who will not give a Vet a break?

Thank you for any help or responses.

Did you ever go into a CORPORATE store?

ATT’s military discount is clear on who is eligible. Unless you are active duty, a military spouse does not qualify. The account needs to be in the veteran’s name to get the discount. The simple solution is make him the account owner.

Yeah my wife is the account owner because she is a army vet.  She is also a nurse so either way we have a discount but SHE has to be the primary account holder.

https://att.com/tobr will show you how to transfer the account into your husband's name.  You only have to do that if you want the discount.

Please thank him for his service.

Your Vet husband is being offered a 25% discount. That's clearly a great discount that you seem to want

I am offended by AT&T's response, that our account is not considered for the Military FAMILY Discount.  It even states FAMILY in the Discount.

That is to indicate that it's not a discount only for the person in the military.  They allow you to put nine additional family members on the family plan and also give them the discount. I'm sorry you are offended by this.

I do understand that you want the discount to work for you. But as you clearly see, that's not how the discount is set up.
