Just found out about Military Discount

I just found out that AT&T offers a military discount and signed up for the program. It appears it will drop my bill by 20.00 or so each month which is fantastic. My question is: Is there any way to get credited for the past 12 months that I was not aware of the discount program? When I first purchased my phone in the AT&T store, they never even offered or mentioned a military veteran discount.

The standard rule is any discount/promotion starts the next bill from when it is applied. They do not backdate for months or years. You either had the discount or not.

Just as if you were married or had a child but didn't put into DEERS for a year. Tricare would not cover any medical claims prior to when they existed in the system. (Just for clarification they do backdate if within 90 days as those are qualifying life events of course).

It would be difficult for the salesperson to know every employer/organization that are in the signature program that gives a discount and the amount.

The discount may take a month or two to verify and is applied retroactively only to the date you applied for the discount. Nothing previous
