Lots of fibbing
Two days ago I called in about getting TV, Internet and Digital home phone. They assured that I would get a military discount on all the services. Was also told that two of the local channels we watch are imported into the App. Didn't go with them right away so they called me back the next day.
Once again I was told to call back in 24 hours to customer service to get the military discount. I was talking how I wanted the Ultimate TV package, found out later they signed me up for Choice. Also found out No those local channels I watch are not imported.
When talking to the salesman, we had a stopping point of me being forced into purchasing the streaming box. I did not want it or need it and was ready to cancel out. A supervisor came on the line and waved the cost on the box. Which I ended up getting billed for.
Called in today, only to find none of the services I ordered qualified for a military discount.
After being lied to about channels being imported, forced upon streaming box, and no military discount.
I dropped them

You are 100% correct. The point is, they were using that just to sell me a package when it didn't qualify.

That is unforgivable. Curious, what number did you call? Was it actually ATT or a third party reseller? Actually, there used to be a military discount on internet and tv service if you had a qualifying wireless plan. In fact, I still get the discount but they discontinued it for new customers two years ago.

I think you hit BINGO on that one. Just looked at the browser history. I was having problems finding mention of Digital phone and got off of ATT official site and landed on att-promotions.com
Looks like they have quite a reputation for these kind of things.
ATT needs to fire them.
