Military discount proof of eligibility requirements
We are going to be getting new phones and will have to update our grandfathered plan to a new unlimited plan in order to get the military discount. My husband is a navy veteran and the primary account holder. I can't see what documentation is needed for online verification of proof of eligibility without starting the process which I don't want to do until we change plans. He has a Veteran Healthcare card and of course a DD214. Reading on this forum it appears when you go to a store to have them document it it doesn't show up. I know it has to be a corporate store. Can anyone let me know if either of his documentation will work online? If not has anyone had a good experience with in store verification?
Thanks so much!

The DD214 is sufficient but unless the online requirements have changed, that document can not be provided online, it must be presented in store. I got my military discount applied at a corporate store, no problem. It took me about 5 minutes, the discount was on my next bill.

Hello Kayaker56, we'd be happy to help with your military discount questions.
As mentioned by the ACE @sandblaster, the DD214 cannot be accepted online. You're able to use that document at an AT&T corporate store.
Here are the listed requirements:
Online: Provide any one of the following forms of ID to sign up
AT&T stores: Provide any one of the following forms of ID to sign up
Hopefully this information helps, and thank you for reaching out to the AT&T Community Forums.
