Military Discount - Retroactive credit, after 10 attempts month over month to get verified
I have been calling to get my military discount applied with the right documentation since last November. Finally 10 months later they processed it. In all previous calls they indicated they would submit a claim for the credit, but that it couldn't be processed until the military service confirmation went through. Now that it went through, the rep says they cannot give me retroactive credit ($438.73) is what I would be due in retroactive credit. (Edited per community guidelines) ATT. That doesn't compare to all the other issues that I have had on the account....I've decided that if they can't follow through with their word or contract I might as well just cancel my contract with them and go to Verizon.

Before you give up and leave, highly suggest you escalate to corporate by filing an FCC or BBB complaint. Whoever you talked to perhaps can’t issue that much of a credit but corporate can.

The contract that I sign saying I accept paying X amount and they are offering me X amount if I do this.

It’s not a contract rather than a promise to pay for the device. No different than financing a computer at Best Buy only AT&T does it interest free

Well...guess I don't have to abide by paying for the device if they won't abide by giving me the credit for my device or returning it. I'm more than happy to see them in small claims court over it...
