Prepaid plans
Do prepaid plans get grandfathered? My plan was the 55$ for 100gbs but it's now 90$ for 100$.. but my account still says 55$... How long will this last or is it an error? And if it's an error will the price be worth 100gb? When I first got it I had no issues but now at places I used to have absolutely no signal loss I now get no connection every 10 min.. I have read that att slows the connection to make people switch plans just like they do with dramatically raising price plans.... After noticing the price change I did a bit of research and just found out Verizon has a 100$ for 150gb plan with apparently more coverage than att so I ask again will it be worth the price or will the att service just get more worse to try force me to change plans

Yes, prepaid plans get grandfathered. As long as you don’t change it, you should continue to pay $55. I don’t see a $90 price but the website does show the $55 plan now only gets 50GB.

See that's the thing I was told by a representative not too long ago that if I use my data before my plan ends I can choose another plan and then change it back to the original one...unfortunately the original one is no longer available so miss that on that just wish they could have told me before...
But now I come to realize that maybe it's time to change services... Att just isn't what it was... PLUS 100 for 150gb sounds a whole lot better seeing I do spend more than 100gb in a month... I've have had to restart my plan a few times days before it even ends sometimes half a month...

Well, exactly...
That's how grandfathering works. When a plan is no longer offered it is grandfathered and you can keep it as long as you don't change it. If you switched off the plan, or let your plan expire, then you must pick from available plans.

Hello @Itsmearthur. Thanks for reaching out to us with your concerns regarding your prepaid plan.
Thank you @sandblaster for your accurate and helpful information.
As our ACE stated, we do have prepaid plans that are grandfathered. Also, it is true that as long as the plan isn't changed there should be no change in the price on the plan.
We hope this information is helpful. If you have any other questions or concerns, please reach back out to us.

Yeah well it's a good thing 😂 I've been thinking about changing services.. this has absolutely made me make up my mind... Last month I use this service... I've been doing speed tests on ookla with 3 devices I have in 3 different provider's. Boost mobile, at&t and t mobile... Boost mobile has better speeds and less latency than att att is at 56 while boost is at 32... VERIZON HERE I COME!!!

Doesn't matter anymore... Low speeds and less coverage for 90$ no thanks especially when Verizon offer's 150gb for 100 and more rural coverage than att... Plus I have called att customer service multiple times and frankly it's disgusting how they operate... Smh had me on hold for 30 min only to hang up...
