Will my phone be paid off upon completion of my deployment?

If I deploy and suspend my services will my phone be “paid off” once I resume my service upon completion of my deployment although I still have a leftover payments for the phone itself?

Excerpt from military deployment. You might want to request unlocking of the phone also.  Link below has more details of military deployments for AT&T customers

  • Installment plans: You may be able to keep your device or accessory without making any additional monthly installment
  • payments if you entered into the installment plan before receiving your deployment orders and you are outside the 14-day buyer’s remorse return period.

@Mylife2015 For a military deployment you don’t suspend service, you actually cancel it but ATT holds your number. If all you did was suspend service, you would continue to be billed for everything, plan and phone. Normally when you cancel service, the balance owed on the phone is due. As noted by @Fl_retire on a military cancel they may or may not bill that balance due.
