Apple Watch movement tracker

I am thinking about purchasing a series 9 Apple Watch.  I have limited mobility. I’m in a motorized wheelchair and able to move my arms and legs. if I move my arms Do you think the watch will detect it or does it need to be a downward motion like pushing a manual chair? I guess in the bigger picture, this small part doesn’t matter.

can I use my iPad to see mine heart rate as I exercise?   thank you ~ Matt

This would be better address on the Apple forums. AT&T as a service provider they are not the manufacturer of Apple products, or any other products for that matter.

Hi there, let's get you the help you need!

With each Apple Watch, features are different. Using the Workout app will give you much more accurate movement data, even during a walk. It’s also worth noting the difference between Activity and Workouts. Both will be able to actually track your movement, but how they do so differ. The Activity app, for example, will automatically track anything more intense than a brisk walk. That said, if you're stationary it will not track movement.

For a more detailed explanation on the features and specifications, you will need to reach out to Apple support.

We hope you find this information helpful!
