How does delivery work?

Made my order October 4th, wasnt pushed thru til now, Oct 7th because I had to verify SSN and address. Throughout the 3 days it has remained a delivery date of oct 8-10, is that likely to still be accurate? Also will they deliver regardless of if I'm home?
