Can the AT&T's prepaid card switch to AT&T family plan ?

My card is  prepaid card (Gophone), but now I want to change it to AT&T family plan. So  should I

use a new card or continue to use the prepaid card? Thank you.

To switch from gophone to family plan, you will need to get a new SIM. You can't use a goPhone

SIM on that type of plan.

Thanks for your reply. Now I do not have an SSN. Is it possible for me to get a new SIM to join in the family plan? Thank you.

If you are joining an existing family plan, yes. The account administrator is the only one with SSN on the account.

Yes, I plan to join an existing family. So in order to join the family plan, should  I and the account administrator go to an AT&T store together or I go to an AT&T store alone?

Thank you very much.

Thank you for your reply. I have another question. I bought an iPhone 6 plus(AT&T version) from an apple store with full price several weeks ago and I activated this phone with an AT&T card inserted before opening the package. So is my phone locked to AT&T's network and can it still use other  operators in China after 15 months when I will return to China. Thank you.
