Convert Att Prepaid to Att Postpaid

The att corporate store is not able port my prepaid number to my postpaid and they dont have clue. Even the customer care doesnt have clue about it. Prepaid number starts from 720 and post paid is located in 75024. The store manager was asking to port prepaid to new postpaid account (new credit check again) and then transfer the billing responsibility. Is there any solution for this?

Is 720 the area code? If so, that's likely the issue. I'm pretty sure you can't set up a new account in Texas with a Colorado phone number. If that's what's going on, you will have to set up an account with a new phone number.

You cannot port a phone number from one AT&T account to another, regardless of prepaid or postpaid. If store personnel are using that word, you might also have a store that's not as knowledgeable as they should be. If that's the case (and it's not an out-of-state number), you might try a different store.
