Customer Privacy Violation - Local Store

I sent this to one of the employees on the forum but wanted to make it clear to customers as well.

I went into the store in Pace Florida on HWY 90 to get a new phone today and I saw an employee take a photo of a customer when she wasn't looking.  This is absolutely disgusting on it's own, but I asked the employee helping me why and she non-chalantly told me that it was their policy to take concealed photos of customers when they are being helped.

I understand that security cameras are needed but this is absolutely absurd. I'm sure there was a misunderstanding some where down the chain, but if an employee attempts to take a photo of me on their private phone I'm going to be livid.

You can have you photo taken in a public venue there is no law about that in most states.  And how do you know it was the employees phone.  ATT does provide phones to employees.  I did not say it right but in the world today everyone has a camera.

definitely not policy  but not illegal in public unless its pictures of private parts.and im pretty sure most at&t stores have video surveillance so theres no need to take a picture.

I know it's legal. That doesn't make a grown man taking photos of a 12 year old less creepy.
