DO NOT FALL FOR THE $200 ACCESSORIES IN-STORE CREDIT (BC SALES TACTIC).

If they tell you in-store that they are offering this. Tell them "NO" I don't want it and just buy your phone online and do the process online. What it is, is the store trying to sell you additional products without you knowing thinking its a bargain. Well it's not. You are still paying them $200 for the products. AT&T DOES NOT CHARGE YOU AN ADDITIONAL $200 in financing for a new phone. It does not say it in their agreement or policy.

If you really want to mess with them, ask them where is it written in their policy that you are charged an extra $200 dollars for anything. Or worst tell them you just want the phone and you don't want $200 in accessories[Per Guidelines:  Keep it Relevant and Appropriate].. I've been an ATT customer for many years and this sales tactic is a lowball. This is why when you buy anything online, they don't charge you $200 dollars and split it between 6 months adding another $30 to your bill. DO NOT BUY IN STORE AGAIN.

It sounds like the tactic of an authorized retailer.   Authorized retailers may say ATT on the front, with a subtitle for the retailer.  This is not ATT.  Some run legit, some are shady.

A good rule rule of thumb in any situation is

1.   Read your receipt before you sign it

2.   If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

3.   ATT doesn't give ANYTHING away entirely free, certainly not $200 worth of stuff.

You should return to the store and bring the shady sale to the managers attention.

Ohh I walkedout of the store and told the sales clerk that I'm going to contact ATT. Long behold  it is just the authorized retailers making these shady deals. He actually believe that  I was hooked since I looked liked I had no idea what I was buying. Unfortunately I had already atempted to buy a phone online and gave me enough knowledge to know I was being baited and the numerous "you are wrong" without showing me any proof just showed arrogance. Sorry I'm not a fish.

Good for you.  And warn people away from this particular store.  We had a store near us that was  very underhanded.  They are closed because word of mouth spread about the dirty dealings.
