I was on the ACP program and I want to stay with AT&T how do I keep my benifits

I am on the ACP program and have been for a while. I was told that I could transfer my number to a new network carrier and still get the benefits. Well this crap they switched me over to is horrible I have no service at all no where I go and that is with Qlink that is on the T-mobile network and it (Edited per community guidelines). I cant get a signal to call or text and I cant even use my internet on the road. So its like whats the point of giving me some thing I cant use. I just want to know if there is some one else I can go through to get my benefits that happen to be on the AT&T network cause they are the only ones I have had no problems with I have great service for calling and texting as well as using my data. Please help cause I cant keep doin this with no phone.

@missjamie17 There may be other programs that are similar to the ACP but the ACP program itself, and the associated benefits are not available to any carrier anymore because it was government-funded program. No money, no benefits.

You can look into Lifeline or possibly a state funded program. California has a program that you can search by your zip code to see what, and if, something is offered if you meet the eligibility requirements. Oregon also offers an enhanced Lifeline program.

ACP was terminated on June 1 because it ran out of money.

@missjamie17  FYI:

Without additional funding from Congress, the allotted $14.2b allotted to fund the ACP is projected to run out in April 2024 (estimated date). As a result, the FCC has begun to take steps to wind down the ACP. What that means is that:

  1. ACP applications and enrollments will not be accepted after Feb. 7th 2024 at 11:59pm ET.
  2. Households who have applied, been approved, and are receiving benefits will continue to do so until the funds run out as long as the household remains enrolled in the program.
  3. After the ACP funds run out (around April 2024), participating households will no longer receive the discounts.

This applies to all providers and carriers who participate in the ACP program. It is not specific to AT&T so there is very little they can do. Complain to your local Congressman.

    OK Then who is it that is connected to AT&T. Like for example the benefits They transferred me to is Q-link and they are with T-mobile I hate them their service is crap So all I am tryin to find out is who does the benefits with AT&T. I know there are a handful of others but I figured I could come here and get a straight answer on who to go through to continue getting the benefits that I already was receiving from AT&T

    Yes I know the funds ran out for ACP but there are other branches of it. I really was trying to avoid going through all the carriers trying to find who evers network runs off AT&T. Thanks anyways I will just have to look up all the different ones they offer. thanks again

    Okay, so switch to another AT&T mvno. Red pocket offers SIM cards for various service providers, including an AT&T SIM. For $5 a month, or $60 for the entire year, you get unlimited talk and text and half a gig of data. If you pay a little more, you can get more data

     Lifeline

    What is Lifeline?

    Lifeline is a federal program that lowers the monthly cost of wireless phone or home phone for qualifying customers. Eligible customers will get at least a $5.25 discount on their bill. Qualifying customers who live on federally recognized tribal lands may get up to an additional $25 discount.
