Is there a way to look up past promotions?

I could have sworn when I traded my old Samsung in for a new one last year it was while they were running a promotion where you could turn in any Samsung and receive a free upgraded one. Come to find out I've been paying installment fees this whole time, and the trade in value on the confirmation e-mail is $0.00. Shame on me for not checking this whole time, but is there a way to look at past promotions and see if this was indeed a valid promotion before I call to ask what's up?

When last year? @formerlyknownass (and others) can sometimes dig them up.

Promotions change on a regular basis, best to take screen shot or print the promotions out for future reference.

While details and offers change over time, the format stays relatively consistent…. Trade in requiring 30 to 36 month installment with needing to keep active service the entire time. Receive a pro rated payment credit each month over the time frame… example $800 over 36 months is $22.22 per month. If cancel or change service during that time, lose any remaining credit(s) and entire remaining cost of the equipment becomes due.

Sorry, two more questions: what specific phone did you trade in and was it in useable shape?

@Gary L  is the expert on the way back machine!

But even if there was a promotion you had to meet all of the other requirements, and it was a lot more than just trading in an old phone. The current promotions are worded essentially identical even though the dates the dollar amounts and of course the new phone is slightly different.

So if you go to the AT&T sales page and look up one of the current Samsung phones that offers a $1,000 off over 36 months, click on see offer details, then scroll down read everything.

There is a plan requirement, there is a 30-day trade-in requirement, there is a 90-day exclusion if you add a line for the purchase and cancel another line.

I just had the same thing happen to me. and was on the phone for over 2 hours with AT&T, with all my receipts, and they basically said to take it back to the store I had bought my phone at. unreal. filing a BBB complaint now.

Dude same thing for me but for the nighthawk router. The promotion was buy internet and get the router free. I’ve been paying installment fees this whole time!
