LIED TO

So due to the china virus, my wife and I opted to do distant learning with our children in our school district. I have a Version phone, and my wife has a pre-paid AT&T phone and she gets the best service in our rural location, so we opted to go with AT&T wireless internet service. a couple of weeks ago, we went to the AT&T location in Corydon Indiana, and we were greeted nicely by one of the techs that work there. We patiently waited our turn, and when we were asked by the salesman what we were looking for, we stated we were looking for wireless internet only.

The salesman showed us the Nighthawk LTE mobile router and we liked it. he then asked us what data plan we wanted, and we asked what they offered. He stated that they offered a 50gig plan, and a 100 gig plan, so my wife and I opted to start with the 50 gig and he stated that we could change it at any time on our account. Heck yeah, this is exactly what we need!

So we sit down, he grabs the device, collects our information, runs the credit app, and we were obviously approved. While he is setting up the device, he stops and goes over to the guy that greeted us nicely for a moment, comes back and states that we could not get the nighthawk device with the 50 gig plan.

I stated to him that we must have internet for our children, and he proceeds to show us a different device with 2 antennas. (Not sure of the name of this device, but it certainly did not come with 2 antennas like he promised) and then he asks me for my information again. Before I gave my information again I asked him if he was running my credit again, because that can impact your credit score. He states to me that AT&T saves your information for 30 days, and it will not impact my credit score. I gave him my information once again, and he proceeded to set up our account.

He asked me to sign and I did. After I signed, he said "well that's it." I asked sooooo, where is our device? He stated that it was on back order and would be shilled to us. We were very clear with this guy from the beginning that we needed something now because our children started school the following Tuesday. We asked him when we would receive our device, and this (Edited per community guidelines) proceeded to help the next costumer while he printed off the receipt!!

3 days later, I receive an email from credit sesame stating that my credit score has gone down due to a closed account. I look into it and low and behold, this (Edited per community guidelines) (Edited per community guidelines)in lied to me!!! My credit score was lowered because he ran my credit on the first device (that he lied to me and said we could get the 50 gig plan on) and when he closed the account, it did not save my information for 30 days like he said, it lowered my credit score.

My device arrived 1 day after school started, and works nicely, but after my experience with AT&T in the Corydon Indiana store, (Edited per community guidelines) YOU AT&T!! when my device is paid off, i will be exploring other options immediately!!!

I love how you have your ads in the responses. You should have one that says " Hey, Wanna get (Edited per community guidelines)ed? sign up today for our new (Edited per community guidelines) you we don't care about the customer, only the sales sale. " maybe try being honest with your customers.
