Military Phone Unlock First Net

I am a active duty member with a first responder plan through First net. I am unable to submit my own "cancel resquest" via att since I have a Firstnet account. I've had multiple costumer service reps submit them for me, aswell as sent and attached deployment orders.  2 months, and we have gotten nowhere . I deploy in 2 weeks to the middle east and I would love to have my phone unlocked to be able to communicate with my family while deployed. Cab someone please HELP!

I file a better Business bureau complaint online. Better Business bureau complaints are forwarded to AT&T upper management almost immediately. You should get contact from upper management, usually the office of the president, within two business days.

If you have submitted your deployment orders then you should be able to submit an unlock request, making sure you check the box that says you are active duty military.  Even without canceling your account, so that you are no longer billed by AT&T, it should allow you to unlock your phone and use a non AT&T SIM.

@formerlyknownas Thank you for your response. I agree with what you are saying, and I have done just that regarding the unlock request. They have told me not to submit another request since it could potentially "delay" the process, I mean, they have denied the previous ones and it's been a month since the last request was submitted and still nothing besides them telling me i am not eligible to unlock my device. I have spoken to numerous costumer service reps and countless hours on the phone, aswell as multiple walk ins at different locations and everyone is LOST. This is frustrating. I just took your advice and filed a BBB complaint, I hope this works.
