New account controls coming soon?
Verizon already has what it calls a 'port lock'. I have no idea how effective this port lock actually is. If someone can log into your account they can easily turn it off.
AT&T may have new controls for the account owner which will severely limit what authorized users can do on the account. Right now authorized users can do almost anything. This is a good thing.
Even with these new controls in place. I encourage everyone to read their bill regularly. Especially after there have been any changes or purchases on the account to make sure it's correct. Mistakes happen. Sales people get " overzealous ". No one can watch your back better than you can
