No loyalty from AT&T? No loyalty from me any longer!!

Just want to put this out there that AT&T loyalty to its long standing customers is a complete joke!! I have been with AT&T for 25-30 yrs. Have never jumped ship to another wireless provider and have paid my bills on time. I called and got what was supposed to be their retention department, as I was looking to upgrade my iPhone 13 Pro Max to a Galaxy S24+ and wanted to know if there were any special considerations on a deal for someone like me. I was told with my trade in of the iPhone 13 Pro Max the 256gb would be of no cost to me, and the 512gb model would be about $3.50 a month. I told the agent that that was the same deal everyone got whether they were a 5 yr customer or a 25 yr customer and that wasn’t good enough. He tried 2 more times (he said) with his higher ups, and that was the best deal I could get. Over my time with AT&T I’ve paid well over $20,000 dollars in bills and that’s going off only a $100 dollar average and AT$T couldn’t give me the 512gb model for the same price as the 256gb model. Seems to me that $120 dollars, when compared to $20,000, is a small price to pay for a multi billion dollar company to keep an extremely loyal customer such as myself. Shame on you AT&T!!! After 25-30 years, you’ve caused a customer such as myself to leave and go to Verizon or T-Mobile. I don’t care if I do end up paying the $3.50 a month for the 512gb model with them. At least AT&T won’t be getting it or any more money from me.

Everyone gets the same deal. Losing you as a customer isn’t going to mean anything to them.

So they were offering you a phone that's worth more than $1,000, either free, or a $1,200 phone for $3.50 a month. And that wasn't good enough for you?

So here's the thing. Loyalty deals really aren't a thing because everyone gets the same offers to get a free or deeply discounted phone.

Sure, go over to the competition. Where those offers are only made to new customers
