Not keeping up with the competition
I spoke with customer rep Esteban, who was as helpful as he could be, regarding increasing my mobile hotspot limits. The reference number is 774883973643096137. He sent me to the loyalty department. The supervisor was unable to give me any deal or increase. All I ask for is double the Gb On each of my SIX lines.
I called t mobile, out of curiosity, to see what they could offer. They could do 50 GB PER LINE, for $40, of course not including any phone cost. My gripe is this—if t mobile can offer it, why can’t YOU? I’ve been a loyal customer for 30 years. There should be some accounting of that.

I believe what T-Mobile quoted was their 50GB reprioritization limit. However, they limit hotspot to 3G speeds. You need to pay extra for high speed hotspot.

Correct, plus their One plan is unlimited Hotspot but it's capped at 128kbps speeds which isn't the fastest, their One Plus plan is 20GB 4GLTE of Hotspot but will cost more money. OP was either given wrong info by Rep, or some sort of misunderstanding happened.

Of course the competition is going to claim they have better, that’s a salesman’s job. What they cannot claim is better coverage. Verizon is #1, ATT is a close second.
Kentucky is Swiss cheese for T-mobile coverage. Connecticut is supposedly fully covered when in fact it’s terrible in most of the state.

Are you serious? Even if T-Mobile offered an unlimited 5G hotspot for $2, AT&T doesn't have to offer you anything. This is the kind of research you need to do BEFORE signing up.

It’s also the (frankly idiotic) marketing all carriers are using. The advertise “$40 per line for 4 lines”. But it’s not $40 for a single line. One line costs more. With the addition of second third and 4th lines the cost goes down because the plan is actually ala’carte.
I do not like this pricing as it doesn’t allow customers to ball park costs compared to other carriers unless they have 4 lines or less.
