Orange SIM card - Europe
I am traveling to both the UK and France next month and am looking at buying an Orange SIM card or eSim instead of using ATT's international plan. Have any other iphone users had experience with this? My phone is paid off, but in settings under "carrier lock," it says "SIM locked." I'm worried this will prevent me from using the card. It also looks like, from reading online reviews, that the Orange Holiday Zen card, which is supposed to be valid in the UK, often doesn't work there. I want something that will provide data in both countries but is cheaper than the $10 a day I'd have to give ATT. Thanks!

That means your phone is locked to ATT so an Orange sim won’t work until you get it unlocked. To unlock, use the unlock portal:

I would like to know how this worked out for you? I am going to Majorca and France for 10 days in September and was hoping to use Orange🍊 on my unlocked Iphone rather than using the plan ATT offers travellers. Any drawbacks?
(I have another question but I'll wait till I hear back.)

@kcintx2 Who are you asking? The OP hasn’t been here for nearly 2 years.

I did get my phone unlocked and have used an eSIM for 2 different international trips. I highly recommend aíralo.com. You don’t have to worry about taking out and losing your SIM card. I never tried Orange because I discovered aíralo and used it instead.
