Setting up new account after being stationed Overseas

I am currently a little over a month out from separating from the military, we are currently stationed overseas in Yokota Japan. I was currious if we can set up a phone plan for my wife and I so that when we and in America we will have phone plans set up and ready to go. Any help would be super helpful.

You would not be able to activate new service outside the USA.

If you took AT&T up on the option to suspend service with number held for military deployment, you would be able to reactivate your number or numbers .   Helpful info and links...

Hello @TylerDHill, we'd be happy to get this addressed!

To answer the question, no, you will not be able to set up a new account overseas as we will need a form of identity and for that you'll need to be physically present in the United States and connected to the AT&T towers for activation.

As @formerlyknownas has rightly mentioned, if you had service with us prior to deployment, there would have been options for you to suspend or cancel if needed.

Please reach out if you have further questions.
