Trade In Credit
I upgraded a phone on one of my 5 lines. I upgraded with a trade in credit for my old iPhone. The user of that line doesn’t like the new phone so I want to transfer my eSIM from my line to the new phone and use it. She will continue using her old phone. But her line won’t be cancelled.
When talking to customer service earlier, they told me that if I do this within 90 days of upgrading that I will lose the trade in credits. I have read over the terms and all I can find say that if you cancel any line within 90 days I will lose credits. No lines are being cancelled. And no new lines were created. It’s just an upgrade for an existing line.
Is this correct or did the agent not understand?

When the lines are associated with the same account, switching phones between numbers won't affect your trade-in credits or promotions. The installment and promo will remain with that specific line, even if someone else on the account is using the device.
