unable to buy unlocked phone
I went into an Att store expecting to leave with a new s8 or s7 and was told that I was unable to purchase the phone unlocked, then I went to walmart and got the s8 unlocked but only under a prepaid package. Its like both stores didn't want to sell their mainstream carrier versions (verizon, att, tmobile) unlocked. What is up with that?

AT&T and most other wireless providers do not sell unlocked phones. If you want to purchase an unlocked phone, it must be purchased from the manufacturer or a retailer that is authorized to sell unlocked phones.
