Very poor cell service in and around my house.

Hello,

This has been an ongoing problem. We constantly drop calls in nearly every area of our house. There is zero signal anywhere in basement. Is there a way to remedy that?

@bvgreek1 Have you turned WiFi calling ON for your phones?

Check out weBoost Home 4G on amazon  470101  works better than you can believe...mount it high, outside

already bought the AT&T brand which was worthless ..  really was $175 and didn't help anything!

Good luck

Wi-fi calling usually works okay. But even that can be spotty if I move too far from my router.##-Please type your reply above this line -##

Att doesnt sell a booster, never did.   Att did sell a microcell, which required postpaid service and wired home internet.  With registrations and activation it works fantastic.  But it’s replaced with Wifi calling.

@bvgreek1

Wifi calling is limited by your Wifi.   If it’s poor, trouble shoot your home network.

A second router or WiFi extender would be less costly than the booster.

AT&T (They) did sell the microcell which did not boost our signal when connected to the router as instructed. If you qualified they would provide it without charge. The booster weBoost allows great improvement in signal and is NOT sold by AT&T for another $500 plus dollars to use AT&T cellular in otherwise one bar area! Crystal clear reception:0). Using iPhone 5’s. :0)

The microcell is not a booster.  It’s a mini tower.  It provides 3G talk and text via your home internet.  You must have postpaid plan and wired home internet.  If the microcell did not work for you, something was not done correctly or your internet equipment might have been one of the few incompatible units.  A booster can only boost existing signal.  Microcell or WiFi calling provide signal where none exists.

I have used both.  Microcell provides a far better and consistent call quality than WiFi calling.  Booster of course is independent of home internet and carrier plan.  Quality of service depends on location.
