What happened to my credit?
I saw an ad for "Add a line get a $200 credit" and it jogged my memory. Just under a year ago I added a line (and a new device/phone). I did this by going to my local AT&T store.
The salesperson was very good and took me through all the various options until we settled on one that fit my needs. At the time he told me that I was in luck, because I'd be getting a $200 credit with the addition of the new line. I had kids with me who were getting a little restless, and I figured I'd just see the credit on my bill or get info in the mail (I also looked through my paperwork to see if there was something I was supposed to do but didn't see anything). So I kept looking on my bill for it to come up- for about 3 months or so, and then I guess I got distracted by other things/forgot about it- but I'm 99% sure I never got it unless it was applied to something or in such a way that I didn't see it.
So when I saw that ad, I thought 'I wonder whatever happened to that $200 credit I was supposed to get??" I know it's been almost a year, but honestly it was one of the factors that led me to choose to go ahead and add the line and get the phone- it was a pretty big deal.
Is there any way to figure out what happened to it?

Hello @RVATD66
In order to know which Add-A-Line promotion you were participating in we would need to know the requirements.
Most likely this is a promotion that required you to activate your new line of service with a smartphone on AT&T Next.
Afterward, if your account remains active and in good standing for 45 days, a bill credit is automatically applied to your bill.
When you upgraded was it on a 2-year contract or with AT&T Next?
Please let us know in order to further assist you.
Thanks,
Charise

I added a line about a year ago also, but I brought my own phone (used) so I was not eligible.
Sometimes the sales people are lousy at reading the requirements and expiration dates on the promotions.

I'm guessing it's something the salesperson didn't follow up on. And then knowing my luck with these sorts of things, too much time passed before I realized the credit was never applied, to fix it.
I had just assumed it would be applied to my bill (which to me, if you're going to offer an incentive like that, that's what should happen) but like I said- it took me awhile to figure out that never happened.
Thanks again 🙂

This was the promotion for late August through September. If your line fee is $40 a month, you did not use Next and were not eligible.
