All the houses around mine have fiber available. Not mine.

How can this be correct? AT&T's fiber internet availability tool shows that fiber isn't available at my address, in fact no AT&T internet service of ANY type is available, and yet when I check any of the houses around mine I see that they all have AT&T fiber service available (see marked-up Google maps image below). What could be the cause of that?

Sounds like your home got skipped due to the power line going to just three houses. Go to the street at the top of the picture. Look for Att fiber lines on the overhead wires on that street. Look for something like this. This is what fiber lines to the house connect to.

Are these houses or apartment/condominiums? Hard to tell because I see no streets in front of or behind the buildings. Show a screen shot of an aerial map to include the streets.

Hi @browndk26, they're all houses. Electric & cable to my house (orange circle) comes in on poles approximately along the yellow line, then everything is underground from that point south, apparently.

Is your home the only one on that power line? Other homes on overhead power? Check your power line to see if Att fiber line is on it. Should be a third cable with an orange marker on it. Check other power lines in the area for Att fiber cables. It could be your home was skipped if it’s on its own power line.

Call 800-288-2020 and ask for an address validation. Several weeks to complete.

Last resort would be an fcc complaint if the answer is no from Att.

hopefully mythoughts will reply as well.

Hmmm, I don't see anything on the pole but power and cable. The cable feed is probably 1"+ in diameter and then goes through three-way splitter before heading down the pole and underground. The three splits (coax) go to my house and the two other houses at the pole (theirs go underground, mine comes in overhead). That's all I see on the pole. The power line goes into PVC and underground, at this pole. Again, power is overhead to my house, the other houses' feeds are underground.

It doesn't look like my electrical overhead has any AT&T lines associated with it; here's a photo of the pole on the north side of the street where I would think AT&T fiber would have headed south across the street (this is at the blue square in the aerial, below). Doesn't look like it does.

None of that matters.  The only thing that does is what their backend systems understand.   There’s a procedure to request Att perform an address revalidation based on your postal address.  I understand the process can take a few weeks.  Once that’s done you’ll have a clearer understanding of what’s possible.  If they decide you are service eligible, then it’s up to them to run the connection to your house.

Well I never heard anything in response to my National Address Verification Search, but I checked availability of AT&T fiber at my address three days ago and it's now available up to 1 Gbps.
