Does AT&T Fiber network use 2.4hz or 5hz?
Trying to connect to a WI FI enabled system but only works with 2.4hz, not 5hz. This system is a Hunter irrigation controller with a WI FI card. Not sure how to determine if system is 2.4hz or not. Right now the WI FI card doesn't recognize the AT&T WI FI. I want to rule out the question concerning which HZ used.

AT&T Gateways normally have both. Though the 2.4GHz might be the "Guest" network option.
What model is your Gateway?

Unless I'm totally confused, the "main" WiFi has 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz. If you use both, they must be the same SSID.
The guest WiFi just has 2.4 Ghz.

You are confused about the options. By default AT&T has set both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz to the same SSID but you are able to customize them.
@RJJG119 You might want to enable the 2.4 GHz Guest Wi-Fi to isolate your Internet of Things (IOT) devices with a unique SSID. Not all IOT devices play well with a single Wi-Fi SSID on both the 2.4 & 5 GHz bands as the BGW320's default configuration.
Here is the link in your BGW320 to manage your Wi-Fi settings: http://192.168.1.254/cgi-bin/wconfig.ha you will be prompted for your Access Code which is printed on the label on the back of your BGW320.

He can use the guest wifi I suppose but I hate the idea myself.
To connect the 2.4GHz device to the gateway, a method is to temporarily disable the 5GHz radio until the device is paired and then restore the settings. The device will remain paired or connected.
One of the sad realities of our gateways we have to live with. Or better yet, buy your own WiFi solution.
