An Arris WBM760A is a DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem. First Uverse is not cable, it's IPTV. Second you must use the router (gateway) provided by ATT.
The Asus RT-N56U is a router. In theory you maybe be able cascade your own router behind the ATT gateway. The way you do that is a function of which gateway ATT provides you.
