Mac Filtering on BGW320 not working

So despite having my wifi on the device completely turned off I am getting so many devices connecting to it all the time. Weirdly Huawei phones. I wanted to enable mac filtering since they seemed to be conencting through the turned off wifi, but this is what I see. They are all grayed out and not clickable while the wifi is turned on

I went to the wifi settings to see if there was something I needed to switch on, but wasn't anything in there either.

If Wi-Fi is disabled then you cannot enable MAC filtering.

I've had it turned on for this. Forgot to mention that. But still, why am I getting so many connections if it was turned off before?

How are you determining that devices are connecting to it all the time?

I was checking the dates that they showed they were last connected. And I'm see the same ones have the "most recently connected" date updating constantly. Some are having their dates update less frequently, but they are still updating
