What connects the GPON to the gateway inside the home. Still RJ11?

I just scheduled installation of AT&T Fiber service because we have had many issues that AT&T I&R has said were due to deficient transmission on one of our 2 bonded pairs. We've had a 15 foot trench in our yard for about a week now, dug by contractors working on behalf of AT&T. We've been told our transmission errors have been fixed, and that contractors will soon return to fill the trench, but now that we know Fiber is available, we've requested it.

What cabling will be connect from the GPON to the gateway? We now have RJ11 from outside box to gateway. We currently have two 8-port 10/100 ethernet switches, two 5-port 10/100 ethernet switches, two pairs of AC line ethernet connectors, and one Apple Airport Extreme Wi-Fi router. What network equipment changes will be necessitated by the change to Fiber service?
