Wi-Fi Access Point compatibility with BGW210

I would like to extend my WiFi range through the use of an additional access point instead of just a WiFi range extender. Does AT&T recommend any specific unit that would be compatible with the BGW210 WiFi router?

@Nojokes44

Presumably what Att recommends is what they sell.

What many of us do is research to find something suitable to meet the need.  A WiFi system that supports mesh or satellites, and can run in access point mode simply to make it easier for general purpose use with our gateways.  Personally I have a Netgear Orbi RBK50.  It is technologically old at this point but does what I need it for which is to provide reliable and available wifi connectivity.

Once this system is put in place, the BGW210 will do its job fine, barring a rogue firmware update which unfortunately can happen from time to time and for which we as users have no control over.  Nevertheless, I always want the option to factory reset my gateway should the need arise.  I do this whenever I notice out of the ordinary behavior, and almost always after a firmware update is pushed.  Good luck.

Thanks, I guess what I was looking for was what options should I ensure an access point has in order to work correctly with the BGW210? Or will any access point will be ok? I’d like to have them both using the same SSID so that my WiFi devices will seamlessly move from one location to another. Thanks.

Truth be told, better to turn off the radios in the gateway.  Not worth the aggravation.   Any decent mesh system with satellites will provide coverage
