Wireless Printer Cannot Connect To Gateway/Router

I just got AT&T Fiber installed yesterday.  I'm having trouble getting my HP 6962 Wireless printer to connect.  The printer doesn't see my SSI.  I have also tried the WPS setup.  Both push-button and with a PIN.  None of them work.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Thank you!

I had to wind up changing the name of the 2.4ghz SSID so that both 2.4 and 5.0 band SSIDs were different and weren't being broadcast together.  Once I changed the name on the slower SSID my other devices, including my printer, could finally see it and I was able to connect to it without any issues.

By the way, my bridge/gateway is an AT&T Arris BGW210-700

Cheers!

Hey @douglaslwarren,

Typically when ATTCares responds to a post with information on how to resolve and the OP (original poster) doesn't come back it's assumed that what was provided solved the issue. We do this to promote solutions to help future customers who stumble across this thread. I'm definitely not in it for the internet points, just trying to help people get answers quicker.

In this case, it looks like I was wrong in my assessment. I appreciate you posting the solution that worked for you of separating out the SSIDs - while that shouldn't matter to a lot of modern devices, it sometimes causes issues now and again. I've gone ahead and changed your answer to the solution.

If you need anything else, just let us know - we're all here help you.

@ATTKevin,

My apologies on the rude comment.  I have edited my response.

I totally understand where you are coming from.  I'm sure there are a lot of questions on these forums that go without followup responses.  However, it being the holidays I hadn't had a chance to come back and post my reply.  It wasn't until I got an email saying that a solution had been accepted that I realized I hadn't done that.

Again, my apologies!

Cheers!
