$200 gift card

Back in July I moved into a new apartment and was calling in to transfer services. During the call I was offered a $200 gift card if I upgraded internet service, I upgraded. The person I spoke with never told me I had to claim the gift card for it to be sent. Months past and I recently modified my bill and noticed I had never received it. I called customer services and was directed to the rewards department. I was then told my reward had expired because I never claimed it. In disagreeing with this statement the customer service rep literally hung up on me when I asked to speak with a team lead or manager. Called back and was mysteriously already waiting for my call. She also told me I’d essentially forfeited my gift card since I hadn’t redeemed the reward. However how am I held responsible with a representative of AT&T never disclosed to me this process. Very disappointed, on principal I may need to change my service provider.

Hello @bfy8792,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Let's shed some light on your concern and get the help you need.

We have an appropriate team to help you out further, so please contact our Reward Center for further assistance with claiming these gift cards. There is an option to search by claim number or by entering your account number and zip code.

To get in contact with our AT&T Reward Center representatives there are two numbers you can call depending on if you have a business or residential account. For residential accounts the number you will need to call is 800-288-9983, and they are open Monday through Friday between 9am-6pm CST. The hours for business accounts are the same, but the number is 866-706-1108.

We hope this information is helpful, and thanks for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums!

I already spoke with the reward center, they refused to honor my reward since it was 2 weeks out of the timeframe in which I was supposed to claim the reward, even though no one ever told me I was supposed to call and claim it. I was told it would just be mailed to me.

Hi @bfy8792, thank you reaching back to us. We understand that you are trying to redeem your reward. We're here to find some answers.

Unfortunately, to redeem your reward, you must claim it within 75 days from the date on your notification and keep your service active.

Within 4 weeks of installing an eligible service, you’ll get a reward letter with a claim number. Usually, before the deadline, you must go to the Reward Center and Claim your rewards

Please feel free to reach out to us for further assistance.
