AT&T dug up my back yard for fiber months ago, website still says it's not available

AT&T came in earlier this year (spring?) and dug up my back yard to lay down fiber.  Months later, the website still says fiber is not available at my address.  What's going on?

when checking immediate neighbors addresses can they order fiber?

Was a pedestal or hand hole placed in your yard or neighbors yard?

Depending on the size of deployment I would expect 6 to 9 months after work started but could take a year depending on both equipment and labor shortages. If work started in Spring (April-June) could still have serviced turned green for ordering in December to 1st quarter 2024.

I do not see any pedestals or hand holes.  I don't see that any of my immediate neighbors can order any Internet from AT&T at the moment.  This is different, as I used to be offered a non-fiber option.

Try …. https://www.att.com/internet/internet-air/

The company may be turning off the copper and offering fiber to the cell tower

We are here to point you in the right direction @Jpers36. Let's get the help you need.

We're happy to address your inquiry about AT&T Fiber!

To request AT&T Fiber in your neighborhood, you can follow these steps :

We are continually expanding our fiber footprint to more households every day, check to see if service is available to you now.

You can sign up for notifications on the availability of AT&T Fiber at your address by filling out the Notify Me Form on the AT&T website. Once you fill out the form, you will receive a notification via your preferred method as soon as AT&T Fiber becomes available to you.

Please contact the Buried Wire Center at 800-924-9420 and select prompt 2. They will be able to send a technician out to remove the items that were left behind in the back yard.

We hope this information helps.
