AT&T Fiber Availability
I am currently only able to get AT&T Internet Basic 5, and continues to have problems due to the age and condition of the copper. There is a new subdivision being built just to the south of me, and of course they have AT&T Fiber available. I would like to know when, or if, fiber facilities will be extended another 100 yards to provide fiber access to my house. If there is no future plans to extend fiber service to me, then I need to look into other service options. I would like to speak with someone that can actually help to determine if my request is valid. Speeds up to 5Mbps is just not enough for much of anything.

There is none that could provide official ATT expansion plans…
What is known, ATT current fiber build out started in 2016, has averaged 3 million addresses each year with end of 2025 (10 years) to have 50% or 30+ million addresses to be upgraded. This includes all new construction of apartment / condo complexes and subdivisions with at least 60 addresses. A percentage of Uverse hardwired footprint from 2006 to end 2015 that reached 33 million with VDSL (Uverse IPTV service current speeds of 100-25) and 24 million ADSL2+ addresses with speeds of 18 or less which includes internet 5.
That is 57 million Uverse platforms PLUS new construction activity since 2016 estimate 3+ million to have total 60+ million hardwired Uverse platform addresses.
As of end 3rd quarter ATT has reached 24 million with slightly over 2 years left to add 6+ million out of (60-24) 36 million eligible locations. Some zip codes are over 80% fiber while other zip codes are less than 20%. Planning to activate can take 18 to 24 months, all you can do is wait and see if will be upgraded or check if ATT AIR is available which is fiber to the cell tower.
